A client texted me on my phone an image ofย a logo they need printed on a product! I took a snapshot, cropped it and saved it in my photos.
The manufacturer says they need the original file vector form AI.ย
What can I do to provide this logo from what I got to what the manufacturer needs? Is there any way to convert it by loading it in Inkscape and resaving it properly?
I believe they want SVG data. You just put a photo into a SVG container which will stay there as a raster image. To convert it into vector graphic youยดll need to either draw it manually based on the photo by using it as a blueprint or try the bitmap trace built in functionality in Inkscape to do so.

If you are wanting to save an Inkscape created svg file as an Adobe Illustrator file, read this ...
