Is it possible to COPY an image to another layer....for the purpose of editing the "copy" of the original image. I'm using version 1.2.....Windows 10 64-bit. I made a drawing of two leaves, joined at the bottom. I want to copy it to a new layer......and then edit the "copy". Then, "merge the two layers into one layer.
[Layers > Layers and Objects...] or [shift+ctrl+l] opens a dialog where you can create, lock, hide, name and order drawing layers, . Select your shapes then [right_click > Duplicate] or [ctrl+d] and [right_click > Move to Layer...]. When you're happy with your changes move the shapes back to the original layer.

This is in fact a well used workflow.
