I have created a stencil and trying to add layers. When i click a layer and then the eye to remove it, it removes the whole picture rather than just the layer. What am I doing wrong?
When you say you click the eye to 'remove' the layer, I presume you mean to hide it? (cos the eye doesn't delete a layer).
The obvious assumption is that your objects are all on the layer you're hiding. Click one of your objects then look at the panel at the very bottom of the screen (under the colour swatches). It should say there which layer the object is on (it'll say something like 'Rectangle in layer Layer 1' - obviously the shape type will vary depending on what you have). The easiest way to move an object from one layer to another is to click once to select, then right click, and choose 'move to layer' from the pop up menu. You can then select the layer of your choice.
