I purchased a dxf file off etsy. It is pretty good, but a lot of the lines are split up in to a bunch of pieces. For example there is a circle in the center of the image, it is broke into about 20 pieces. How do I get those paths joined all back to splines without screwing up my logo im working on?
Ah, okay. You're using a beta version of Inkscape 1.0 then, right? The extension is not going to work with that version, it's for Inkscape 0.92.
You can try the following instead, but you may need to break up some connections again afterwards:
select all paths that you want to join
switch to node tool
Ctrl+A (or Cmd + A?) to select all nodes
in the tool controls at the top, choose the option 'Join selected nodes' (the one after the + and -) , or if that gives strange results, try 'Join selected end nodes with a new segment' instead (after Undo).
You can also deselect a couple nodes before you join the others by Shift-clicking on them.
