This is my first query and new to Inkscape application & not a graphic designer

I have Cricut Explorer cutting machine for hobby and try to convert PDF to SVG file and cut using design space software Cricut .

I m trying to see if following 2 issues has any solution.

    1)     Some pdf file when I open in InkScape and in display mode when I select Outline menu, it just display Red cross line when I save as SVG file ,can not open or see in Cricut Design space software

    see image here :https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wOMWcK61d7uPbSJmSDKIKHkw8ubJisqJ/view?usp=sharing

    2)     Some pdf file I see that nodes of one picture are shared with other picture.one picutre is not whole with respect to nodes.  so aft save as SVG, it does not cut continuously or break one solid line in 2 lines.

    1) The red outline indicates a bitmap/raster object, not a vector object. It might be possible to convert the image to vector with tracing.

    2) Inkscape cannot control how the PDF was constructed or the parsing of the PDF to SVG. Inkscape can be used to edit the paths to another preferred arrangement.

Tyler , Thank you for reply.

is there any steps to convert pic in tracing and than save as sfg?

is there a way to select all nodes and make as single layer?

"Centerline trace" can be used to make vectors from raster/bitmap. Results can vary in quality depending on the original image.

Paths can be combined to make a single "compound path". This can also create duplicate nodes where endpoints intersect, which may require more operations to join the duplicates.
