I have a question concerning the lattice-tool: Is the deformation nodes limited to 16 only — meaning no less, no more? In other programs deformation controls have options for the numbers of rows and collumns. Any work around?
That's a very old wiki page. This is now accomplished through path effects. [Path > Path Effects...] [+] [Lattice Deformation 2]. Now you have to work with a 5x5 grid of control points.
"warp object by a 5x5 grid" ---> Correct: The link I submitted dates 2008(!): The number of control points are 25 as you mention - not 16 ... I can utilize the envelope tool also but the option to adjust number of vertical and horizontal rows would be preferred

Kind regards,

Not that I know of; Info says "warp object by a 5x5 grid". What do you have in mind - I mean there´s maybe another way to achieve our goal.
