This is ridiculous. I have better things to do. I loaded a form (PDF). Inkscape does a great job allowing me to fill in the form.
If I try to save the thing I get blank pages. If I attempt to print the thing to a file, the only thing that prints is the text that I added which is useless. WTF am I doing wrong?
Inkscape's print capabilities are not perfect, but the pdf conversion is excellent. Try [File > Save a Copy...] then in the lower right selection box choose "Portable Document Format (*.pdf)" for your file type. Choose where to save the output then open this new file with your favourite pdf viewer.

The form came from my medical insurance company. Turns out that was the problem. From okular I printed the form to a new file and eureka. Inkscape behaved perfectly. Might be worth a mention in the help section as I ended up chewing on my keyboard. It only requires a moment to see if printing the pdf to newfile.pdf fixes the problem.
