Hi! I am working on a project in collaboration with other people, and members of the group have made graphics in Inkscape, PowerPoint and in Photoshop. I asked everybody to put their text in 9 pt Arial and provide me with a 300 dpi png image to assemble in the final document. The Inkscape text, however, is smaller and bolder than the same font and size in PowerPoint. Inkscape says the text is not bold, but it sure looks like it to me. Here is a comparison of the two side-by-side (top is PowerPoint, bottom is Inkscape):

Not the first time I came across this issue: check the Fill and Stroke panel and delete the Stroke from the text object.
