I have a rectangle filled with Mesh Gradient in several colors. I am then putting triangles on top of it in rows, and then one by one removing the fill of each triangle, and then using the color picker for what's underneath on the mesh gradient to change the color of the triangle. I get about 3/4 of the way across the row filling in each of the triangles with the color picker, and then Inkscape crashes right when using the color picker again on the next triangle. I opened the autosaved doc and got to the second row and same thing happened again. There is nothing else in the document.
I am working on a Surface Pro 2017 with 4GB RAM...it's a new machine and everything is up to date. I don't have any other programs or apps open. I've used Illustrator, Adobe Fresco (an older version), and GIMP (newest version) on this machine with no issues thus far. So not sure why Inkscape is crashing doing something that I wouldn't think was too resource heavy (or is it?)
