1. this is ย normal behaviour for an ellipse. If you want a constraint circle hold ctrl key down.
2. Check tool options for the Bรฉzier tool: Shape:ย None
I'm not sure about the pen tool.
However for the circle, if you have a look at the bottom left of the window.
You have a very large stroke set at 48.7. That is the reasons for the huge 'car tyre' effect.
Also when using the circle / ellipse tool, hold the Ctrl key to maintain aspect ratio - i.e. make a circle instead of an ellipse.
Pen may be set to triangle
That is a Pen stroke in screenshot #2? How does this work?
