I created a new layer and I used the file menu to import this dxf file. I cant see in the layer menu that an object has been created, but I can't see it !
Hi everybody,

What have I done wrong ?

I'd try menu: View>Display mode>outline
Hi Tyler,
it's still invisible.
I give you the airfoil profile I'd like to import. Maybe it's not supported.
Regards
Thierry
This is what I got from your file by importing it:
Thierry, I can confirm it's not visible in current version.
It works in upcoming version 1.2.
Hi Polygone
this Is exactly what I need.
How did you do ?
Regards
Thierry
I´m using 1.2beta already. Didn´t check with 1.1.2 but Aero is right above.
In the meanwhile maybe it's possible to import a standard airfoil file ( .dat) instead of a.dxf file ?
I'm not at home so I can't upload any file but a Google research will help you find such a file.
Regards
Thierry
Looks like 1.2 Mac is out. :)
Download Inkscape 1.2 | Inkscape
You can find airfoils at airfoiltools.com
I´m using RdH´s last arm version for M1Macs. Quite happy with it so far. I´ll update when we reach 16.May. 😂
This is what an airfoil file looks like :

Is it possible to visualize this airfoil with Inkscape ? I have not succeeded, but as I am a newbie, I dont know all the possibilities of Inkscape.
Please help.
Regards
Thierry
Is this the only file format you can offer? Even FreeCAD can´t resample these data set - just the meta data.
LibreCad can open the original dxf file and save as v2007 dxf. The 2007 version will open in Inkscape.
Or, as stated above, update Inkscape to 1.2.
Thank you everybody for your help (Librecad is a very good solution).
I consider this topic closed.
