I'm wondering how / if I can use bitmap tracing to separate out the different opacities / colours in images such as the attached. 

I'm using the newest version of Inkscape on a Mac and have had various levels of success.

I mostly seem to get lots of objects that look exactly the same, and don't seem able to pick up some of the less opaque sections, like the grey shading around the bottom of the cloud.

Looking forward to someone showing me how simple it is! 😂
