I don't think we have the maths in Inkscape to do more smoothing, it might be possible to write a python extension that does even more smoothing if running the smoothing maths we currently have multiple times doesn't work.
Most of the nodes in that path are cusp/corner nodes. If you change all of them to smooth except for those 2 where you want a sharp corner, it will make the path smoother.
I have some curves that I want to be really smooth. I used auto smooth and it helps but still not quite there. What can be done?

you can use this tool : Path > Simplify (Ctrl+L)
and Make selected nodes smooth
