    Hi,

I'm trying to remove the sections of line that are between the outer circle and the inner circle. I've attached a before / after I mocked up in paint as I'm not sure what tool to use. I've tried a few of options like Path > Exclusion but I think my problem might be what objects I'm selecting or perhaps the order?

There are various ways depending on the structure of the path.

Maybe you have seen this:ย http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Paths-Editing.html

    Thanks,
I ended up using the Cut Path Operation: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Paths-Combining.html

If anyone else is trying to do something similar, this is how I achieved it.

    1. Create a duplicate of the outer circle
    2. Gave it a solid fill colour (might be optional?)
    3. Select the duplicated circle, and shift + click to also select the line
    4. In the top menu, Path > Cut Path

I think my question is similar.ย  I've created an image in Inkscape using the Draw Bezier tool to use asย a SVG image to send to my laser cutter.ย  But need to clear out a rectangle section so I can later add text from the laser's program .ย  Can you offer any suggestions how to create a clean break in the linesย to show an open space?ย  The image attached shows the rectangle in red, that's the area I want to remove the lines from.ย  I've tried the Path>Cut Path to remove the lines, but when I send to my laser, the lines are still readable.
