    Hi Members:

I'm new to Inkscape and would appreciate printing help. How do I import a .pdf file and print it to 1:1 scale (1:1). I can import the .pdf by going to File > Import. Thank you.

Please expand on the request... e.g. why not print from a PDF reader, why Inkscape?

The reason I am trying to print a .pdf on a 1:1 scale is because the instructions I am following directed me to utilize Inkscape to print 1:1. Please have a look at the link provided below. After you load the link, please scroll down a bit to see the short instructions featuring screen-shots of your software.

Also, the reason for using Inkscape to print 1:1 is because I am printing a large template to build a guitar and I will be tracing various parts therefore the scale needs to be 1:1.
I will be printing lots of standard 8.5x11 paper which all contain the entire single .pdf file and then cutting out the various pieces and taping them together to trace. It's all described in the link below. I'm simply having trouble understanding each step. I couldn't get past step #2 because after going to File > Import my results did not match-up with step #2 in the link below. See screen-shot attached showing my results after importing the .pdf file.

Thank you kindly for your patience.

I'd try selecting the imported drawing and usingΒ Shift+Ctrl+R to resize the page to the object.

Another is to open the file directly, rather than importing to a running instance of Inkscape.
