I'm trying to open an .eps file, using Inkscape running under XQuartz/MacOS Mojave. Even though the documentation says that Inkscape natively supports EPS formats, when I try to open a file, none of the .eps files is shown as an option for import, nor is it included in any of the file type filters shown. Any ideas of what's going wrong? Thanks...
When you click on the flag icon, it puts the message on a special page for moderators (where all reported items go). But that doesn't usually get anyone's attention (unless there's a new team leader for moderators, since I resigned). Usually, it takes a moderator seeing the message in the forum, and doing something about it.
Just to resolve the mystery: I deleted the message, and flagged the user, and asked on the chat for someone to do the second vote that is necessary to delete the account.
Maren, you know about the feature that blocks them from posting, right? Then you don't have to worry about getting the 2nd vote to actually get rid of them.

Windows users need to install ghostscript. I suppose it's the same on a Mac, but don't know for sure.
Yes, Mac users need to install Ghostscript too for importing eps files.
Try this topic, it had the same question:

The previous answer has a spam link in it, I think...
* edit And I didn't mean Maren's answer, of course, but the one that is deleted now!
Yep spammer. I flagged it, but I don't know if the flagging system is operational.
Hi Tyler,
Ah, that is what the flag is for. :-) Everyday I learn something new, thanks. It seems to have worked.
