I am extremely new to inkscape -- sorry if the question doesn't quite make sense. I have the letters S3A, and I want the '3' to smoothly connect to the 'S', like shown in the attachment.
Is there a way to set the '3' stroke width to be the same as the 's', and have the curvature linked between the top of the 'S' and bottom of the '3'?
Looking good so far - depending on the font it´ll be an approximation in a good meaning - if you want to go a step further convert the text "3" with "Object to path" and let the adjacent points snap from the "3" to the "S". And you can Path-> "Union" the 2 glyphs into one - but both needs to be paths to do so.
Nice, to be honest, I thought to myself if I should 'clean' things more up but decided not to. @ntjess That was my try, though a bit sloppy one. So yeah, there is a way to connect them both ends. The letters' and the numbers' font can be different, just choose fonts that are not too different.

Imperfect as I don't know the fonts that you are using. But here's my try:
https://www.mediafire.com/view/tumb5ynqoqykon4/s3a.svg/file
Can you please upload into this forum? - I don´t try mediafire again as it redirects to some bullshit content.
I don't know how though.
Thanks for the tip @PixelPest, that got me where I needed to be! See my attached result :)
@Kebskie, I was hoping to get an output without misaligned edges (the letters don't quite meet up in your image -- see attachment 2)
Drag the file into this browser window.
I think this is it
It sucks, the font changes when uploaded.
Another try
What font is it? If you don´t mind loosing text just convert it with Objects-to-path.
I forgot about converting both into path, sorry. Was working with something else.
It did not download, for some reason. Here again:

Don´t avoid challenge: 😄
