Beginners' Questions How to make a circle and other newbie questions

    Brand new user here (Windows 11).

    Would be grateful for answers to any of these questions:

    1. How to make a circle? (Ellipse tool does not constrain. I suspect this might have to do with Snaps, since I see red lines?)
    2. How get the size properties to pop up after an object is drawn object (so I can quickly resize object)?
    3. How to remove or add tools to toolbar?
    4. Is there a way to select objects via crossing window (right to left) instead of window select?
    5. How to move an object to a different layer?
    6. How to Zoom in and out using mouse scroll wheel?

    Please take a few minutes to step through the Tutorials in Inkscape's Help menu.

    Many of these basic questions are addressed there.
