I find the workspace very cramped to work in. I try to make the instruction side smaller but Inkscape does not allow me to. I am using A4 size printable setting.
I´d try to use only floating dialogs then for instance.
Try ctrl-B to remove the border sliders.
Try F-12 to remove the layers, aligners etc.
I forget the command in 93 for "full screen." [ I think there is one, but I rarely try to use it. ]
Another option would be to use a 4K monitor - eg my newly bought LG UHD TV 43UP80 as a monitor.
