I loaded a new version of Inkscape.  since then, I am unable to view the Side Bar or the Top Bar.  They are so tiny. I can not see them clearly.

How do I enlarge these bars to be of use?  Thanks.

To make the top and side bars easier to see. 

1. Open Inkscape and go to Edit in the top left corner
2. Select Preferences from the bottom of the drop down menu
3. Expand the Interface section and select Themeing
4. Go to Toolbox icon size and select Larger from the drop down menu
5. Go to Control bar icon size and select Larger from the drop down menu
6. Go to Secondary toolbar icon size and select larger from the drop down menu
7. Restart Inkscape for the effect to take place

It sounds like you want to know how to enlarge the Inkscape Toolbars, here is how you do that: 

In Inkscape, go to the top and click Edit > Preferences to pull up the preferences menu. 

Then click on Interface > Toolbars on the left to bring up the Toolbars menu. 

Scroll down to where it shows Toolbox Icon Size and Control Bar Icon Size, and two sliders. Use the sliders and move them up until the Inkscape Toolbar menus are the size you like. I would recommend moving the slider to 200% for both. 

Then you can exit out of the menu.
