Is there an efficient way to clean useless nodes ?

Example: extra nodes on a straight segment ;  https://i.imgur.com/Anv0bAh.png (getting the top segment from the bottom segment)

You can hit the delete button to do hit manually, but what if you have a lot of those, and want to automate it.

ps: how do you upload/ embed a picture to illustrate a post?

If these are corner nodes Path->Simplify should do it.
