I have a circular logo that I am trying to place text around it.  How do you make the text curve to follow a circular object?

Opened the link & read it.  Trying to do the circle option listed last.  Just got this software yesterday so still trying to figure it out.  HOW do you make the circle as shown & HOW do you join the text to it.  The example shows you what to do, but doesn't explain how to do it.

The tutorials in Inkscape's Help menu are quick and easy, they'll give you a good start on making shapes and text.

Look again at Tyler's link. The third sentence tells you how to join text to a shape. "Select both text and path, then use the [Text > Put on Path] command."

As for drawing the circle, go to [Help > Tutorials > Inkscape: Shapes] to find instructions.
