sorry polygon, I would have if I knew what 'scaling for Export PNG image meant ' ?? You helped me greatly with resizing image thank you, but I am having trouble accessing markers. Maybe I am calling it by the wrong name. I want to mark single points on an 2D image so that I can measure their exact location on x,y planes..
Can I have some help here. I have inkscape version 1.1. I have done it before, I just can't remember how! Mike
1. Node tool? "N"
2. Export or inside Inkscape? A) AtFile->"Export PNG image…". B) Object->Transform->Scale
OK thanks, but I am not having success with marker shape/size. Node tool N, how do I access it?
1. You didn´t tell if scaling for "Export PNG image…"
2. press the shortcut N?

Maybe like so:
There is an extension that exports the coordinates: https://github.com/jwcliff/Inkscape_Exportxy
I would simply use the bezier pen to make a path of straight segments to each point and export.
