Beginners' Questions How do I add symbols to an existing symbol library?

    I have somebody else's library added to my symbol library, but I want to add more symbols to this library. 

    I opened the symbols' library SVG file, made new object and want to add it to this SVG file as a symbol, and it gets added.

    BUT, how do I rename the symbol? 

    The default name is symbol26, but I see no way of renaming it.

    Inkscape 1.3.2 - File > Document Resources > symbols tab - will allow you to delete or rename Symbols.
