I have some artwork which has come to me in a .psd format. Is it possible to work with these files on Inkscape. When Iย try to load these on Inkscape, I get an error messageย "Failed to load the requested file". Is there a way around this issue using some free tools?
Generally, Inkscape can open PDF files, but it may depend on your setup. Please describe your OS & version, the version of Inkscape and the installer you used.
Bonus points if you can include the pdf file to test.
If you have access to the author a file with a PDF-stream might be a better choice and able to store some vector data - which most likely are converted text objects andย vector masks.

Hi @TylerDurden ,
I'm able to open PDF files... this one is PSD - Photoshop Document format.
Ah, sorry for the misread. I would try Gimp: www.gimp.org
