New to inkscape and I'm looking at making a hexagon that has 2 lines different colours and wondering what best way to do make it making sure all lines are connected properly ?
Use the Polygon tool to draw the hexagon - convert with Path->Object to path to a path. Grab the Node-tool to select the nodes where you want to disconnect points - then go Path->Break apart to make it different separate objects - assign new stroke colors via Objects->Fill and Stroke tab. One stroke can just have one style.

@Kris889, do you mean, a hexagon made of six line segments, and two of the six are different colors?Β
