Short question, I'm having some trouble with cutting out an unnecessary part of a picture. Whenever I use the clip option it only gives me the thing I want to get rid of back and deletes the part I need. I have provided a screenshot to better illustrate my issue. I want to get rid of the pink part.

Short question, I'm having some trouble with cutting out an unnecessary part of a picture. Whenever I use the clip option it only gives me the thing I want to get rid of back and deletes the part I need. I have provided a screenshot to better illustrate my issue. I want to get rid of the pink part.
Inkscape also has a clip invert on the recent versions. If that doesn't work for you, you could try making a mask.
