    According to the guidance https://inkscape-manuals.readthedocs.io/en/latest/writing-text.html

“Click-and-drag on the canvas. This will create a frame for a flowed text with a blue border, in which the text can be inserted.”

Then I should be able to type text in the framework. However, the text is invisible. And the cursor is outside the area I create for some reasons I don't know, As indicated by the blue arrow in the figure

The font I use is 18.  Inkscape version is 1.3.2.

Your image cannot be seen via hotlink.

Feel free to attach it using the paperclip button, or by dragging it into the reply textarea.

The rectangle is red, indicating that it is too small for the size of the text. I'd drag the control handle down and to the right until I se all the text.

I try to drag the control handle, but the text cursor is moving with the handle too. As a result, the text is always beyong the rectangle.😭

What's more, I don't think the rectangle is small. as a comparison, I write a simple text using the same size font, it seem the rectangle is bigger than the text.

    👍

Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences and restart Inkscape. https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
