I'd like to make curly braces of variable lengths. If I use the pen/bezier tool to make them, I can't strech them properly (see svg). I wish they have the same constant thickness, whatever their width or height. I must be using the wrong tool ?
The streching problem is solved. The thickness is now uniform. Still it changes when I scale: the scaled down brace is thinner. I'd like both to have a fixed, say 0.5mm, thickness.

Instead of grouping you can Path->Combine 2 parts. The "Stretch" is because you scaled the group. It will look normal when you ungroup again.
Thanks !

Then thereΒ΄s still a group involved. Ungroup again - select all - adjust stroke width.

Let me anwser to my own question, now that I've earned some XP:
If I resize my drawing as an object, its thickness is scaled.
If I resize (or modify its shape) as a path, its thickness is not scaled - that's what I wished.
