I am trying to setup some type in the same way as on this football badge from Athletico Bilbao (NOT to copy their badge - the text I want is totally different, I just want to try and do it with similar angles!).
I can fit the text to path and adjust to make it fit the path... but how do I also get that skewed effect? If I skew the text as it is then it goes crazy and out of shape whilst on the path.
Not sure how best to do it? Anyone know the best way?
I would split the text into 2 pieces, and also break the path, so that there are 2 separate paths, which meet at the apex.
Then apply the first part of the text to the left path, and the 2nd part of the text to the path on the right.
Then skew them separately. You can't skew them together, because one side skews in one direction and the other side goes the other direction. So you have to do them completely separately.
