I have a source PDF file im trying to convert it to editable by word scalable format.
What i do:
1) Inkscape: Open PDF
2) Inkscape: Save as > EMF/WMF
3) Word: Insert image from file as EMF/WMF
4) Word: Edit object
I made an example figure to illustrate the problem. WMF looks almost as good as i can imagine except all arrows disappear. Yet i can edit lines in word to add arrow heads (since i have lots of figures it can be challenging to do this manually every time).

The arrowheads appear to be unclosed paths.
Select an arrowhead ( just one, not both at the same time )
Then use Path>Union ( Ctrl + Shift and + )
The wmf arrowheads should then be fixed for export.
