Beginners' Questions Error when using pen tool after copying and past image

    Hi all,

    This is my first question about Inkscape. I have installed Inkscape 1.3.2 on my PC. I have a problem when I copy an image and a past in the work area. After pasting an image on the working area and using a pen tool to draw with a closed loop, the bezier curves disappear, but there is a new copied image instead, as shown in the attached picture. What can I do to solve this problem?

    Check out Shape which is set to "Last applied". Set it back to "none".
