Hi. I’m trying to install Inkscape Portable 1.2.2 on my system. It takes a very long time to unpack the files and install, even though it’s portable. It finally does finish, but then when I try to run it, I get the error:
“The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”
Is this happening because my system is old, Windows 7 Pro, 32 bit, only 4gb RAM? Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I got the program from Portableapps.com. Thanks for answers.
Well I downloaded the file. I was afraid to put it in my Windows System 32 directory, thinking it might screw up my system. So I put it in the Inkscape Bin directory instead. And now Inkscape is running okay.
