Hello.  I have created an image with various SVG files. An outline with a background pattern.  Cut, and saved as SVG.  When I went to open the new file, the background isn't showing.  Just the outline and eyes I made.  Thank you. ~Tonya

Maybe share the file or a screenshot that includes the Layers & Objects dialog (panel).

The image displays as expected in Inkscape, but probably not in browsers until it is finished.

Thank you.  I'm unclear what you mean by finished.  How do I save it to finish?  It's done.  I just was running a test and wanted to use that image as finished. Thank you for your help and time.

Finished depends on where you plan to use the image. 

Thanks.  I was trying to save it as an SVG to upload to a design program to create a book.  I'm not sure why it wasn't working, but I started over and I now have it working properly.
