I have just made my first few images on inkscape and sent them to my brother who has a laser cutter. He opened the files with corel draw and when he opened the files, all of the lines between each node was acting like an individual line. I had grouped everything before I sent it to him and had originally drawn the outlines using the pen icon with a line and nodes on the left (draw besier curves and straight lines). I hope iβm explaining this properly, but for example, an outline of a flower looks to me like 1 line with lots of nodes on it but when he moves it, itβs made up of lots of smaller lines that are between the nodes. Do you know how I can make it so it is 1 unbroken line? Also, parts that I had filled with a solid colour only showed up on corel draw as outlines. I saved the files as DFX (R14) files as he couldn't open them in SVG.
To get a continuous line you can try to select everything for one shape with the "S"elect tool - change to "N"ode tool and select again so every node as "active" - go now to the top bar and find the icon for "Join selected nodes" which by clicking on it hopefully will connect all loose part into one stroke.
