I downloaded the current version of Inkscape to get into vector graphics. I started drawing shapes with the Draw Freehand Lines tool and eventually, I could no longer draw new shapes with it. Instead, every time I tried to draw a shape it would paste everything I had copied things like my previous drawings and copied photos. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but I am still unable to draw any shapes with the tool. When I have nothing copied the tool doesn't draw anything. From my amateur understanding, it seems like anything I copy is set as the base for the tool. How do I reset the Draw Freehand Lines tools settings so that it isn't linked to my copy and paste?

My OS is Windows 10. Thank you for your time!
Make a double-click on the tools icon - will take you to its preferences to check what´s actually enabled.
Under Preferences->System you´ll find under User Preferences: Reset Preferences - maybe try this when nothing isn´t working any longer as expected.
