I have been using the same operation for multiple cuts basically on a design I am working on. Now the exact same operation with duplicate object no longer works and I am at a loss as to why. I have tried a new file, I have tried restarting Inkscape. I don't know what it is that I am doing wrong.
What I am doing. I duplicate one of the circles that is the flower of life symbol. It is an object. I have a bezier line that is underneath this circle. I set this line to a path with path->stroke to path. I then select both the circle and the line and choose path->division. This usually results in the line getting split and the circle getting deleted. I clean up the line and add the circle back in its place and I am good to go. Now for some reason this operation doesn't work.
I fixed my own problem. The bezier lines were a group for some reason. Once they were just a path it worked just fine. How it became a group I am not quite sure.
Hello,
I have been using the same operation for multiple cuts basically on a design I am working on. Now the exact same operation with duplicate object no longer works and I am at a loss as to why. I have tried a new file, I have tried restarting Inkscape. I don't know what it is that I am doing wrong.

I am on a Mac 10.15.7 with Inkscape 1.2.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
