I contracted with someone to create a logo for my business and they ended up sending me many folders with many very slightly dissimilar versions of a logo. I opened one of their .ai files in Inkscape, then got distracted for several days. When I returned to my computer, I didn't know which file I had open. Is there a way to discover the file path of the current open file in Inkscape? I've checked File > Document Properties, as well as all of the other menus, but cannot find it. I think it would be useful to know.
A neat but not so well known trick in macOS apps (when developed according to the guidelines) is to context-click on the file title which will prompt the whole file path and location to go to at every point in hierarchy. Unfortunately this feature is also gone with 1.0
Hello, newbie here,
I contracted with someone to create a logo for my business and they ended up sending me many folders with many very slightly dissimilar versions of a logo.
Thanks,
Rip
Well, one way is to save it as svg and close it... after you relaunch Inkscape, the MRU will show the path to the last file with a hover-tooltip.
Yes, thank you. It works with other file types as well.
