    Hi guys,

if two objects are overlapped I noticed that in my case sometimes the colors also overlap while on other elements the colors remain the same. I have attached two screenshots. On the one you can see a house as a single object whereas on the other one you also see a green field overlapping the house. You can notice that the windows and door of the house remains their colors whereas the front of the building becomes green instead of its original color grey. Can anyone explain this to me. I'd appreciate every comment and will be quite thankful for your help.

Too many possibilities - maybe a layer problem - I mean wrong order maybe? If you could upload the file it might be easier to investigate.

Notice that the green inside the house is a little darker than the background colour. That suggests to me that there's transparency at work. The first thing I would do is to select the grey rectangle forming the body of the house and check the bottom left corner of the screen. If the fill box is not completely solid (i.e. it is split into two parts with a chequerboard showing in one half) then the colour has its alpha set to less than 255. But you should also check the "O:" field, for the general opacity of the object (should be 100%) - though I don't think that's the problem in this case, as it would affect the stroke more as well.

There are other possibilities, so if it's not one of the above, upload the SVG file and someone will be able to tell you exactly what's happening.

Thanks for your answers PixelPest and Xav. Bascially the problem was the alpha value and I fixed it now. Thanks for your help.
