I created a square of 10 mm on a grid x=10 and y=10 Result of tiling clones with these parameters: https://i.goopics.net/g9nqbl.jpg I don't understand the gap that doesn't correspond to what is required
In the configuration, we have three rows (lignes) and one column (colonne). Y axis is Vertical, X is Horizontal. You want it to be another way, would that be it? Which would be?
I have difficulty answering you because here are 2 times that I try to slip 2 screenshots in my answer. For the first, no problem and during the 2nd, it deleted everything!
I followed a very well explained tutorial about paving clones and the different tabs, but I noticed that there was a shift in the clones that did not correspond to what was intended.
Because with the translation at 100, the clones should have been positioned on the grid lines, but there was an offset.
This morning I wanted to start again to see where I might have gone wrong. I created a 800x800 px document and in the document properties, the grid is set for a 40x40 px grid so I should see 20 tiles horizontally and not this (screenshot 1) If I fill a square of the grid with green, I see that the dimensions displayed in px are: 152,681x152,81 Putting aside the problem of the grid, I started the same cloning again and I still have a shift that is visible on the 3rd clone (screenshot 2).
No answer? It's not a big deal, and of no consequence as I set out to learn Inkscape, not for professional purposes, but as a self-taught retiree, to complete my projects with the Gimp.🙂 I'm on inkscape 7-8 hours a day.I spend a lot of time looking for recent basic tutorials but if 10 years ago there were tutorials in French, now it's 99.999% in English and with English spoken at high speed, of which I sometimes catch a few sentences, mouse cursors at the same speed, forcing the video to pause every 10 seconds. In short, I must have the tenacity and the desire to create, not to have given up yet. After all, Inkscape has only been on my PC for 1 month and 7 days.😏
@Guerreiro: great pattern you posted on a forum I will visit regularly.Well done.
@Tyler Durden: I don't have this file any more but I will do this in another question.
@Marcos Gonzalez : I have 35 videos of IMPPAO on my PC and followed about 80%. Just this morning with one of his videos from December 2021, I don't have this display in the "Objects" tab after a clip:
@Marco Riva: I temporarily put aside the initial problem of the clones.😡 (And off topic, I have several videos of you, not yet studied and I will start with one in Italian).😊

Hi, french-80!

hi Guerreiro
I have difficulty answering you because here are 2 times that I try to slip 2 screenshots in my answer. For the first, no problem and during the 2nd, it deleted everything!
I will try again and try to attach my 2 captures at the end of the message ....

Capture 1 is not visible (replaced by 2).I crack!👿

@french_80
Feel free to share an example svg file for evaluation.
@french_80 There is an excellent French channel. I do not understand the language, but I still follow his tutorials 😊 https://www.youtube.com/c/imppaofree/videos

The clipped object icon has been changed.
I just quickly made a st clip with a rectangle and an ellipse and in the "Objects" panel:
before putting the screenshot I did not see the scissors while I am 50 cm from my PC....
It is small and not easy to see. :-/
@french_80, could the last option ("Utiliser les positions et le dimension...") being the problem?
• french_80: I apologize for my absence. I haven't had time to visit the forum these last few days.
Well, I don't use the clones' dialog box myself: I end up doing certain things manually because I think it's faster... or just out of habit.
@Marco Riva: I temporarily put aside the initial problem of the clones.😡
(And off topic, I have several videos of you, not yet studied and I will start with one in Italian).😊
@Guerreiro_64:no need to apologize.😉
