Beginners' Questions Changing a transformed text back to its original size

    Hi,

    Is there an easy way to restore a text that has been manually transformed (width extended for example) to its original size as defined in the text tab? I tried the XML Editor tab, unsuccessfully.

    Two ways come to mind:

    • Double click the text object to enter text-edit mode, copy all the text, then click on the canvas with the text tool and paste the text.
    • With the text object selected, In the XML editor, there will be a transform entry for the object... delete the transform and the text should revert.

    Hi Tyler,

    Thank you so much, way #1 worked for me!

    As to way #2, when I delete the Transform entry, it also deletes the Text object from the canvas.
