    I am new to Inkscape.

    How do I center text along a guide?

    I have enabled snapping..
    I have snap to other enabled..
    I have snap to center  enabled..
    i have snap to guide enabled..
    I have a vertical guide

    When i select a text object, it doesn't snap to the guide.

    Am i doing something wrong?

    I'd use snap to bounding boxes or text baselines.
