I am trying to save my work but it says I cannot save it because inkscape does not have that extension. It won't let me save it as any type of file.
I am using a mac. I saw someone say the same thing and it was something they had to change in their settings but they were using windows and i dont know what to do for mac.
I´m using Inkscape on a Mac since 2004 and never ever had this kind of issue. Can you provide more specs about machine, macOS, Inkscape version downloaded where from please?
This is so strange I run out of guess work. I was on HighSierra myself till last year. Never ever experienced such thing. Can we see a screenshot of this error message and a step by step of how you 're going to save?

What do you mean by "does not have that extension"?
No when I go there and click save as... a notification comes up that says cannot save. Inkscape does not have the extension to save.

I have macbook pro high sierra. it says i cannot save anything, no matter the type of file. I dont know what to do.
