Beginners' Questions Can't get guides to snap

    I have Inkscape 1.3.2 running from the appimage and Ubuntu 22.04. I tried to find this in the manual, but the manual website linked from both in the inkscape program and the inkscape website gives a 302 error and the manual is not available (http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/index.php). I created a brand new file and added some guides. I then imported a png by dragging the png into inkscape, and I'm trying to get it to snap to the guides. When I move the edge near the guides nothing happens. I searched in the options, and there was no way to enable or disable snap-to on the guides. How can I get this to work?

    In the upper right corner of the Inkscape window are the snapping properties are localized; make sure snapping is enabled beside „Snap to Guides“.
