I have run into an issue where the "Join selected nodes" command has arbitrarily stopped working on select paths.
Attached is an example file. I have two sets of paths. One set fails to join, the other works fine. I have been working with Inkscape for a year and have not had any issues like this.
I have verified that all of the paths are actually paths and not objects or strokes and I am at my wits end.
If anyone has the time or inclination, can you take a look at the file and see what I am doing wrong?
I use Inkscape 1.2 installed via the *.msi file on a Windows 10 PC. The original SVG was exported LibreCAD.
My Process:
1. Select each path in "Select and transform objects (S)" mode.
2. Switch to "Edit paths by nodes (N)" mode.
3. Drag and select the two nodes I wish to join.
4. Hit the "Join selected nodes" button.
Expectation:
The nodes should join and the separate paths become a single path.
How incredibly bizarre. Both sets come from a symmetrical piece. For some reason, the left hand side exported all bonkers like that. I will see if I can repeat the export and isolate the cause.
Thank you. I promise not to mention you or that thing we are not supposed to talk about.
