I've been using the Texture>Watercolor filter on some objects then using the filter editor to manipulate them, and at first I was getting wispy watercolor effects like this but after many uses of the filter and editor changes I'm not getting quite the same results. They end up more like this so it gives me less control of manipulating it in the editor. 

Is there a way to reset filters or the editor? Are changes I am making in the editor on one file affecting how that filter reacts on subsequent files?

P.S. the more recent issues have been with version 1.1.2 and the earlier version I linked was .9.2 I think.

No Reset button afaik other than ctrl+Z; well you can delete it from the list and grab a new one at least.

Thanks for the response. This image is from the Inkscape version I am using now, but unfortunately I deleted this file so I can't compare with the current problems. I still had a screenshot I had made of it, so I figured I would post it as it isn't suffering the same issues.

Thanks for the response. I agree that it is quite unpredictable. I think the one thing I figured out is that in previous uses of the filter I had created a number of objects to apply the filter to, and I grouped the objects together before applying the filter. When I was having issues, I wasn't grouping the objects but I was using Path>Union to form one big object, instead of a bunch of smaller objects, and then applying the filter. And I think that was where I messed up. I didn't catch it as the earlier uses of the filter had been deleted and I couldn't compare the differences.
