Beginners' Questions Can I set a preferred unit?

    I am mostly going to use either Centimeters or Millimeters in Inkscape for the foreseeable future.
    Is there a way to set the default unit preferred across the app?
    Every time I go in Document Settings to change the size I have to manually chose "mm"...

    File->Save Template…-> check where it says: "Set as default template" - Save
