Beginners' Questions Can I paste an object and resize it to match an existing object?

    Hi all :)

I've made a few posters in Inkscape that have a QR code in the top right corner. As the QR codes link to specific sections of a website, I change them depending on the particular poster. The issue I have though is that I have to manually resize the new code and remove the old one. Is there a way to paste or otherwise import the new QR code to replace the old one, or at least match the size? The QR codes are saved as separate SVG files.

I've tried searching, but as far as I can tell, all the Paste Special options resize the existing object to match the pasted one.

    Thanks in advance :)

I'd still use Paste>paste size, but after importing the new.

    i.e.

    • Paste/import new qr anywhere on page
    • Select and note location coordinates of old qr
    • CUT old qr
    • Paste>size on new qr, then position to coordinates

    I'll give that a try, thanks :)
