A quick question about moving the crosshair of the central-pivot point during transforming, can it be made to snap to a particular grid point or node on a path? I find myself having to zoom in really really close to placeΒ the crosshair onto the end of a 1mm thick line (it has to be accurate) and thought maybe there is already a quicker way.
A couple more tips that may be helpful, depending on exactly what you need to do:
If you do subsequently need to reset the rotation centre to the centre of the bounding box (i.e. its default position), just Shift-click on the crosshairs.
Hold Shift when dragging a rotation handle to temporarily set the rotation centre to the opposite corner, regardless of its current position. It will return to the previous position when you release the Shift key. This can be a lot quicker than moving the crosshairs if you need to rotate round the corner of the bounding box.

Like so?
Again PixelPest you have helped me, THANK YOU so much!
I can simply snap the end of my line to a grid corner and then meet the crosshair on the end that way!
