I've been through what I could find on calligraphy issues via google or this forum, but nothing's helping. For some reason, I cannot get my width to change unless I use thinning (and that's not creating the smooth effect I'm going for, plus it will not thin from a point to a thick stroke). I've messed with all the other settings. I do NOT have trace background on. I'm also using a pressure sensitive tablet (XP-PEN 15.6 pro) and I have the box checked in input devices to use pressure (although I cannot get the "Mode" selection to save after I hit save and restart the app).
When I first started using calligraphy, I managed to get a beautiful letter written that thickens and thins smoothly and in a way that makes it look like calligraphy (pic attached) where there's a dramatic difference between the thick and thinnest parts, but when I attempted to re-create the settings, it didn't work. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've gone through the presets and I run into the same difficulty where the line width won't change. I'd love some help with settings or figuring out what I'm doing wrong.
